 
Years of optimization
studies and thousands of experiments have resulted in a unique new
stabilizing diluent for horseradish peroxidase (HRP) conjugates
(Dilutabody Red Plus). This includes not only antibody conjugates, but
also Biotin or Avidin Conjugates, Unconjugated Primary or Secondary
Anitbodies, Protein A, Protein G and
Protein L HRP conjugates. When conjugates or antibodies are diluted
down to their functional assay dilution, e.g. 1:10,000, 1:100,000, etc.
stability is maintained even at room temperature for over
one year. Additionally, the resulting diluted conjugates will tolerate
multiple freeze thawings without loss of activity. Although we
recommend sterile filtration,
we have not yet discovered a microorganism that will grow in dilutabody
due to the presence of potent and multiple preservatives to include
protease inhibitors.
When Dilutabody is used, many conjugates show an increase in titer and reduction in background as compared to alternative diluents. This is due to a combination of enhanced specific antibody binding and the incorporation of optimized blocking agents to inhibit non-immunological binding of HRP-conjugates, e.g. ionic or hydrophobic binding. |
